Playable NPC Jobs Mod (includes Babysitter Mod), by one of my favorite modders Kawaiistacie (check out her others mods!), allows you to do jobs that are usually done by NPCs, not only that, but the jobs are also PLAYABLE, meaning, you do not disappear and come back, you actually get to see your sim work the shift (use the phone to select and start the event)!
Playable jobs include (read more on her website, link below):
Dj (you need a DJ booth on the lot) - get paid to perform in night clubs and earn tips.
Market Vendor (you need a food stand on thelot)- get paid to serve customers at stalls and earn tips.
Maid (previously the Babysitter Mod) - get paid to clean houses.
Nanny - get paid to watch over babies, toddlers, and children.

Maid: 6:42
Nanny: 9:42
Food Vendor (better to have level 10 cooking/gourmet cooking skill): 13:15
-You need a Food Cart on the lot!
-Cheats for skills (type"testingcheats true" in cheat box first):
stats.set_skill_level Major_HomestyleCooking 10
stats.set_skill_level Major_GourmetCooking 10
DJ (better to have level 10 DJ mixing and Dancing skills): 17:43
-You need a DJ booth on the lot!
-You can only practice DJ skill at home, you need the DJ skill to work the job
-Cheats for skills (type"testingcheats true" in cheat box first):
stats.set_skill_level Major_DJ 10
stats.set_skill_level Minor_Dancing 5
Step 1: GO TO WEBSITE
Step 2: Click on "Click Here," under "Public Download." You will then be brought to MediaFire. Once it loads, click "Download."
P.S. Don't forget to update this mod every time there is a patch note for The Sims 4. You must redownload this mod every time and delete previously downloaded files. Check the date it the mod was last updated.
Step 3: Once it downloads, open in downloads folder.
Step 4: Unzip (using file opener, recommended: free 7-Zip), by double clicking on the folder, and then move contents of folder to your mods folder: Documents>Electronic Arts>Sims 4>Mods> Playable NPC Jobs (Create this new folder)
WARNING: DO NOT MOVE THE DOWNLOADED ZIPPED FOLDER TO THE MODS FOLDER OR IT WILL NOT WORK! OPEN THE ZIPPED FOLDER AND MOVE ONLY THE CONTENTS (files in the folder)!
Step 5: Start the game up!
WARNING: MAKE SURE YOUR Custom Content Mods AND Script Mods ARE ON ENABLED (checked) IN YOUR GAME OPTIONS!
